Detroit Cristo Rey High Schools is a coed Catholic High School that provides high quality preparatory education to students from economically disadvantaged families in Detroit. They received a grant to provide free eye exams and eyeglasses to all their student population. Heritage Optical, Detroit’s premier vision and eyecare provider partnered in this initiative to provide the exams, eyeglasses and referrals to a specialist, if needed. This community partner initiative was very successful and supports the platform of Heritage Vision of Hope to be used as a vehicle to provide “healthy eyes” for those who live and work in our communities!

300 High School Students
150 Exams (signed parental permission slip required)
143 pairs of glasses issued
95% of students required glasses
