The ultimate goal of Heritage Vision of Hope is to use our funding for a State of the Art Mobile Eyecare Unit where we can meet the vision needs of the people where they are.  We want to remove any barriers that currently exist, i.e. inadequate vision insurance, limited transportation, low fixed incomes, inability to take time off from work, etc.

We will visit schools, human service agencies that cater to children and families, senior living facilities and community centers, as well as participate in outreach activities aimed to service the disenfranchised population.

Good vision contributes to improved learning and comprehension, improved athletic ability, and healthier employees which translates into a more productive and efficient work environment.

It is Heritage Vision of Hope intent to establish a full-time mobile vision unit fully equipped with an eye exam room and portable exam equipment to provide comprehensive eye exams (not screenings), an eyewear dispensary stocked with popular frame brands to provide quality vision care to students (pre-K – 12), seniors and the underprivileged in low-income neighborhoods.  We will provide services at little or no cost, and/or bill the appropriate insurance if available.
